Notice of Collection and Consent

This Notice of Collection and Consent describes how Playful Rewards collects and processes certain categories of Personal Information in connection with the services provided by Playful Rewards.

By providing your consent you acknowledge and agree that you have been provided with and agree to be bound by the Playful Rewards Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and Acceptable Use Policy.

Please review this policy prior to consenting to our collection and processing of your information. Once consent has been provided for identity verification purposes, it may not be revoked where it is required to complete the reward redemption transaction (payout) for which it was collected.

Acceptable Forms of Identification

Playful Rewards only accepts valid, unexpired government-issued identification documents, such as:

  • Driver’s License
  • Passport
  • State ID Card

Not Accepted: Birth certificates, Social Security cards, school/student IDs, and temporary licenses.

What Are Personal Information and Sensitive Personal Information?

To verify your identity, Playful Rewards must collect your Personal Information, including certain Sensitive Personal Information.

Examples of Personal Information:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Date of birth

Examples of Sensitive Personal Information:

  • Driver’s license
  • Passport
  • State ID card

What is Biometric Information?

Biometric Information is a form of Personal Information related to biometric characteristics or identifiers that may be used to identify you.

Examples include:

  • Fingerprints
  • Facial geometry recognition
  • Iris or retina recognition

What Biometric Information Do We Collect?

Playful Rewards may collect the following Biometric Information:

  • Facial Biometrics: Identification documents must be captured live using your mobile device camera, along with a photographic image or "selfie".

How Do We Use Your Biometric Information?

Playful Rewards will use your Biometric Information to:

  • Verify your identity (confirm you are a real, live person and match your submitted ID)
  • Assist in detecting and preventing fraud
  • Compare derived facial geometry from your ID to the selfie or video you provide

Does Playful Rewards Share or Disclose Your Biometric Information?

Playful Rewards will only share your Biometric Information in the following circumstances:

  • As required by law – to enforce our Terms or to comply with subpoenas, warrants, or court orders
  • With authorized third-party service providers – who perform identity verification and fraud prevention, and who must maintain security standards

Is Biometric Information Sold?

Playful Rewards does not sell, rent, or trade your Biometric Information.
It is only used to verify your identity or prevent fraud.

Retention Period

Playful Rewards will retain your Biometric Information for six (6) months following your last reward redemption request, after which it will be deleted.

Retention may be extended if required by subpoena, warrant, court order, or for fraud prevention.

Requesting Deletion

Yes, you may request deletion of your Biometric Information.

To request deletion:

  • Submit a request through Playful Rewards Support within the app
  • Deletion may take up to seven (7) days

Playful Rewards may retain data as required to comply with legal obligations or prevent fraud.

Can I Refuse to Provide Biometric Information?

Yes, you may refuse to consent — however, doing so will prevent identity verification and block reward redemption (payout).
Alternate verification methods are not available at this time.

How We Secure Your Biometric Information

We use technical, administrative, and physical safeguards to protect your data from unauthorized access, misuse, or alteration.
Our identity verification provider is SOC 2 Type 2 compliant.

Changes to This Policy

This Biometric Data Policy may be updated to reflect changes in our practices.
A notice describing any material updates will be posted at the top of this policy.
